In addition to the network’s Annual Conference and Parliamentarians in the Field visits, The Parliamentary Network also regularly participates in a number of special events including global summits, parliamentary assembly caucuses and economic briefing sessions. Parliamentary Network special events in the past six months:

Conference on Key G20 Economic Challenges - The Parliamentary Network on 23 June attended a conference on the key challenges to be addressed at the next G20 meeting in November of 2011 in Cannes.

ABCDE 2011 - The Parliamentary Network participated in the three-day Annual Bank Conference on Developing Economics: Broadening Opportunities for Development from the 30 May to 1 June 2011 in Paris.

OECD 50^th Anniversary Forum - The Parliamentary Network participated in the OECD 50th Anniversary Forum: Better Policies for Better Lives from 24-25 May. 

The Parliamentary Network attended WDR 2011 Presentation in Paris - The Parliamentary Network joined a presentation on the World Development Report 2011: Conflict, Security and Development on 17 May 2011, organised by the French Development Agency – Agence française de développement (AFD).

The Parliamentary Network participates in Global Parliamentarians’ Summit - The Parliamentary Network members partook in the Global Parliamentarians’ Summit on ‘Girls and Population: the forgotten drivers of development’ from 16-17 May 2011, hosted by the group ‘French Parliamentarians in Action’.

Parliamentary Network members participated in a PAP Meeting - Parliamentary Network members at the Pan African Parliament participated in a seminar for Parliamentary Champions with the World Bank from 13-14 May 2011.

MEP Delegation met with WB Managing Director at UN LDC Conference - Parliamentary Network members participated in the conference on better cooperation with LDCs held from 9-13 May in Istanbul.

WB Consultation on Social Protection and Labour - The World Bank on 29 April 2011 held a consultation to solicit input on its future Social Protection and Labour Strategy for 2012-2022.

2011 World Bank/IMF Spring Meetings - The Parliamentary Network's delegation composed of Board Members and additional MPs participated in this year's Spring Meetings from 13-16 April in Washinton D.C.

EITI Global Conference 2011 - The Parliamentary Network attended the fifth Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) Global Conference in Paris, which was hosted by the OECD from 2-3 March 2011.

Special Meeting on the West Bank & Gaza - The Parliamentary Network on 2 March 2011 held a special parliamentary meeting on World Bank operations in the West Bank and Gaza with Mariam J. Sherman, World Bank Country Director for the West Bank and Gaza.

IDA16 Deputies Report Update - The Parliamentary Network on 23 February 2011 received an update on the IDA16 Deputies Report via audio conference with the World Bank's CFP team.

OECD meetings with Parliamentarians - The Parliamentary Network on 23-24 February 2011 participated in the OECD meeting with the NATO PA Economic and Security Committee and the OECD High Level Parliamentary Forum.
