Network Review

The network publishes a quarterly review featuring articles from economic and parliamentary experts and leaders including Robert B. Zoellick, World Bank president; Dominique Strauss-Kahn, managing director of the IMF; Axel van Trotsenburg, World Bank vice president for concessional finance and global partnerships;  Douglas Alexander, UK secretary of state for development; Louis Michel, European commissioner for development and humanitarian aid; Kristalina Georgieva, European commissioner for international cooperation, humanitarian aid and crisis response; Michel Kazatchkine, executive director of the Global Fund; and Jean-Michel Sévérino, managing director of the French Development Agency. Network News was turned into Network Review in September 2010 to better reflect its content.

Good Governance in the MENA Region 

A new P&D series on Good Governance in the MENA region is now available.

GAVI Donor Conference 2011  

The first pledging conference of the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunisation (GAVI) on 13 June 2011 in London achieved a donor commitment of US$4.3 billion. 

Girls and Population

The Parliamentary Network Members participated in the Global Parliamentarians’ Summit on ‘Girls and Population: the forgotten drivers of development’, in Paris from 16-17 May 2011. 

2011 UN LDCs Conference

The Parliamentary Network Members from the European Parliament participated in the UN Conference on better cooperation with Least Developed Countries in Istanbul from 9 - 13 May 2011.

Join the Network

Membership is free of charge and open to elected parliamentarians who currently hold a mandate. As a member, you will receive The Parliamentary Network on the World Bank and International Monetary Fund’s policy materials, including the quarterly Network Review publication and the Parliamentarians and Development series.

You will also be eligible to attend the Annual Conference and participate in discussions with senior World Bank and IMF leadership. You can also be invited to take part in the Parliamentarians in the Field country visit programme.
In addition, the The Parliamentary Network on the World Bank and International Monetary Fund often invites partner organizations to join its activities.
