Secretariat
Key staff members in PNoWB’s growing secretariat in Paris are the Head of the Secretariat, Mr. Jerome Evrard, the Network’s Policy Officer, Ms. Amy Dietterich, and our Junior Programme Officer, Ms. Gergana Ivanova. PNoWB staff members are appointed by the Chairman of the Board and are independent from the World Bank.

Jerome Evrard runs the International Secretariat of the Parliamentary Network on the World Bank. He is a political affairs and public diplomacy specialist. He served at the French embassy in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, during the 1999 crisis and in the NATO Stabilization Force in Bosnia Herzegovina in 2002. He then joined the United Nations Department of Peacekeeping Operations and was deployed from 2003 to 2006 as political adviser to the heads of missions in Liberia, Haiti and Cote d’Ivoire. Meanwhile, he supported the investigations of the Security Council on environment and trafficking of diamonds issues. He reached the private sector in 2007 and focused on public affairs, communications and crisis management for corporate clients and institutions. He was assigned to the Parliamentary Network on the World Bank in 2008.
As PNoWB Head of Secretariat, Jerome Evrard develops the work program of the Network with the Board of Directors, and ensures consistency with the needs and priorities in international development and the Millenium Development Goals. He identifies, builds and strengthens partnerships with the PNoWB membership and Chapters, National Parliaments, Governments, the private sector, and civil society at large to mobilize support for international development, and to ensure meaningful involvement and participation of those actors in the development and implementation of PNoWB policies and activities. Moreover, he establishes and maintains a permanent liaison with the leadership of the World Bank and IMF. Jerome Evrard is based in Paris and he reports to the Chair of the Board of Directors.
Amy Dietterich
Policy Officer
PNoWB
Amy Dietterich joins the PNOWB secretariat as the network’s Policy Officer. She is a public health specialist with a focus on policy change and improving health systems in developing countries.
Amy comes to PNOWB after nine years in the NGO sector based in secretariats in Washington, London and Paris with frequent missions to Africa, Asia and Latin America. Originally a biologist, Amy later pursued health and development studies at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Her recent projects include adapting the Paris Declaration principles to Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) and NGOs; empowering young adults in West Africa to access reproductive health services and protect themselves from HIV; and increasing health service sustainability through improved government-NGO-CBO relations and engagement.
In her PNoWB Policy Officer role, Amy will initially focus on the relationships between International Financial Institutions and the parliamentary community, the role of parliaments in the mobilization of resources for development in donor countries, especially the IDA 16 replenishment, and the promotion of transparency, accountability and parliamentary oversight on development in low and middle income countries. Amy reports to Jerome Evrard, Head of Secretariat, and is based in Paris, France.
Gergana Ivanova
Junior Programme Officer

Ms. Ivanova holds a B.A. in Political Science and Economics from McGill University in Montreal, Canada and a M.A. in European Economy from the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium.
In her capacity as PNoWB’s Junior Programme Officer in the Paris-based secretariat, Ms. Ivanova researches and reports on legislative developments and election results in parliaments around the world; maintains contact with PNoWB members; and is responsible for keeping the Network’s membership list accurate and up to date. In addition, she helps to plan and provide follow-up on the Network’s annual conference, regular field visits and other activities. Ms. Ivanova edits PNoWB’s quarterly News publication and provides drafting support to the Network’s Policy Officer and programmatic support to the Head of Secretariat.
Prior to her appointment at the PNoWB Secretariat, Ms. Ivanova worked in European affairs for Hill & Knowlton in Brussels, focusing on issues including trade in agriculture, public health in developing countries and climate change. She has also worked to support regulatory measures to fight corruption in the private and public sector and the monitoring of trade in counterfeit products. Ms. Ivanova also completed a blue-book internship at the European Commission, Directorate General for Trade.
